(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a resident of Vanastra with Operation While Impaired stemming from a traffic complaint investigated by police.
On Monday, July 25, 2022 at approximately 2:44 p.m. Huron County OPP officers received a report of a male passed out in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle on 12th Street in Vanastra. Officers arrived on scene shortly thereafter and located the driver in question.
The investigating officer noted the driver was displaying signs of impairment through a drug thus he was placed under arrest. The driver was subsequently transported to the London OPP Detachment where a Drug Recognition Expert completed further testing. The driver was ultimately deemed to be impaired by a drug and was charged.
Dave WEBB, 50 years of age from Vanastra has been charged with Operation While Impaired. He was subsequently released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for September 19, 2022 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
