28 Year Old From Clinton Arrested

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Clinton resident with Impaired Operation – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus) following a traffic stop that took place this past weekend. 

On Sunday, July 2, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Huron County OPP received a traffic complaint of a pickup truck that was being operated in an erratic manner on Lucknow Line. OPP officers immediately began patrolling for the pickup truck and soon after it was spotted at the intersection of Belfast Road and Lanesville Line. 

A traffic stop was initiated and while speaking with the driver the investigating officer noted the driver had consumed some alcohol. As a result, a roadside screening test was administered and the driver registered a fail.

The driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. Two samples of breath were supplied to the Intoxilizer Technician and both tests were found to be over the legal limit. 

Kiana McKay, 28 years of age from Clinton has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus). The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for August 8, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
