21 Drunk Driver Facing Hit & Run Charge

(ELDERSLIE TWP, ON) – On September 4, 2021 at 1:59 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision along Thomas Street in Elderslie Township. Officers arrived to find that the driver had been drinking alcohol.

Bryce RAINE, 21-years-old, of Arran-Elderslie Township, was charged with Impaired Driving, Operate over 80 milligrams, Drive with Open Alcohol, Drive with no License, Fail to Remain and Fail to Report. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on November 3, 2021 to answer to the charges.

The driver received treatment for non-life threatening injuries. 

An impaired driving charge includes an immediate 90-day driver’s license suspension and an immediate 7-day vehicle impoundment.
