16 Year Old Repeat Offender & 14 Year Old Arrested – Stolen Vehicle And Property Recovered

(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA, ON) – On December 28, 2020, at approximately 7:00 a.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of two suspicious persons that appeared to be looking into parked cars in the area of Park Street and Edgewood Street in Eden Mills.  

It was reported that the two suspects arrived in the area in a white pick-up truck. The truck was reported stolen out of Toronto.

A witness confronted the suspects who then fled on foot into a wooded area.  Police set up containment and arrested two youths a short time later.

During the investigation, police seized several credit cards.

A 16-year-old youth from Toronto has been charged with;

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (3 counts)
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order (2 counts)

The youth was held for a Bail Hearing and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice-Guelph.

A 14-year-old youth from Toronto has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

The 14-year-old youth is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Youth Court-Guelph on January 27, 2021 to answer to the charge.
