(LAMBTON, ON) – On Monday December 19th 2016, the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to a two vehicle, motor vehicle collision involving a school bus, in the area of Mandaumin Road and Confederation Line, Town of Plympton-Wyoming.
At just after 7:30 a.m., the Lambton County OPP responded to a collision which occurred on Mandaumin Road, just north of the intersection of Confederation Line. Investigation revealed that a northbound school bus was stopped on Mandaumin Road, with its lights activated. At that time, the driver of a vehicle traveling northbound on Mandaumin Road failed to see the stopped school bus and collided into the back of the bus. Six youth were on the bus at the time but no injuries were reported to any involved parties as a result of the collision.
Traffic flow was interrupted in the area of the collision for approximately one hour while the roadway was cleared. As a result, a 35 year old male from Chatham, ON was issued a Provincial Offences Notice and charged with Careless Driving.
