John COURNEYA – Over 80

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On January 14, 2017, at approximately 8:57 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a motor vehicle in the ditch on Vanneck Road, north of Medway Road.

Officers determined that the 67-year-old male driver of the silver Chevrolet pickup truck had been drinking alcohol. He was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing, which revealed he had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.

As a result of the police investigation, John COURNEYA, from London, Ontario, has been charged with care or control while impaired (alcohol), and care and control over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on February 27, 2017.
