(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On February 5, 2017, at approximately 3:01 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a motor vehicle stop of an erratic driver travelling on Medway Road, between Adelaide Street North and Highbury Avenue North.
Officers determined that the 24-year-old male driver of the GMC pickup truck had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening device was administered and the driver registered a “fail”. He was placed under arrest and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for further breath testing.
As a result of the police investigation, Ian BAER, from East Zorra-Tavistock Township, Ontario, has been charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer the charge in a London, Ontario, court on March 6, 2017.
