(IGNACE, ON) – On Friday, March 3, 2017 at approximately 11:52 pm, Ignace members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were investigating an incident in which a driver became disabled in Ilsley Township which is approximately 20 km West of Ignace.
Officers located and seized a large amount of Canadian Currency; approximately $15,000 along with a quantity of pills from the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, Sherri McQUEEN (45 years old) of Thunder Bay has been charged with Fail to Comply with a Recognizance contrary to Section 145(3) of the Criminal Code, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00 contrary to the Criminal Code and Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of Trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
McQUEEN was held in custody and will appear in Dryden court on March 8, 2017.
