(LANARK COUNTY, ON) – Between Monday 1st May 2017 and Monday 8th may 2017 officers from the Lanark Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 412 calls for service.
The calls included:
Motor Vehicle Collisions.
Total. 19. Including 5 Car / Deer.
Impaired Drivers.
At about 04:40am on Wednesday 3rd May officers were called to a single motor vehicle collision on Wolfgrove Road near Ramsay Concession 4 A, in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills. Investigation revealed that a west bound Kia car had entered the south ditch and collided with a rock cut.
Todd CULLEN (39 years) of Lanark Highlands Township is charged:
One (1) Count Driving Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired.
One (1) Count Drive Motor Vehicle with More than 80mgs of Alcohol in Blood.
Both offences are contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Cullen was released to appear at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.
Domestic Incidents
Following the investigation of a call in Drummond, North Elmsley Township on Friday 5th May, a twenty seven (27) year old man from that Township is charged:
Four (4) Counts. Assault.
Six (6) Counts. Intimidation.
One (1) Count Mischief.
All offences are contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
He was released with conditions to appear at the Provincial court in the Town of Perth.
Following the investigation of a call in Tay Valley Township on Monday 1st May, a forty eight (48) year old man from the Town of Perth is charged:
One (1) Count Assault.
One (1) Count Unlawfully in a Dwelling.
One (1) Count Theft Under $5000.
Four (4) Counts Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
All offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
He is also charged:
One (1) Count Possession of Marihuana.
Contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
He was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.
Officers continue to investigate an allegation of Harassment following a call in the Town of Perth on Thursday 4th May 2017.
Five other calls related to child custody issues, while eleven other involved unwanted contact or property disputes.
