(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On July 1, 2017 at 5:44 a.m., members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police were on general patrol in the Town of Parry Sound when they had occasion to observe a motor vehicle cross the centre line. A traffic stop was conducted.
Investigation has revealed that during the traffic stop, false names were given to police. Several occupants were then arrested. During the interaction a quantity of controlled substances were located.
As a result of the investigation;
Jennifer FELLINGER, 30 years of age from Saugeen Shores, was arrested and charged with;
Driver Motor Vehicle – No Licence, contrary to section 32(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA),
Fail To Drive In Marked Lane, contrary to section 154(1)(a) of the HTA,
Use Other Person’s Licence, contrary to section 35(1)(d) of the HTA,
Fail To Comply With Recognizance (4 Counts), contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CC) ,
Possession of Schedule I Substance (2 Counts), contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA),
Possession of Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA,
Possession of Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana – Under 30 grams, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA,
Possession of Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA,
Ryan GRAY, 40 years of age from Niagara Falls, was arrested and charged with;
Fail To Comply With Recognizance (5 Counts), contrary to section 145(3) of the CC,
Possession of Schedule I Substance (2 Counts), contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA),
Possession of Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
Possession of Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana – Under 30grams
Possession of Schedule IV Substance for the purpose of trafficking
Nadia PERSAUD, 36 years of age from Stoney Creek, was arrested and charged with;
Obstruct Peace Officer, contrary to section 129(a) of the CC
Fail To Comply With Recognizance, contrary to section 145(3) of the CC
Possession of Schedule I Substance (2 Counts), contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA
Possession of Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana – Under 30 grams, contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA
Possession of Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
Possession of Schedule IV Substance for the purposes of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA.
The accused persons were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
