23 Year Old Caught Going 135 In An 80 – Vehicle Impounded

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On July 19, 2017, at approximately 6:00 a.m., a Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Plover Mills Road, Middlesex Centre.

The black, Dodge sedan was measured to be travelling at 135 kilometers per hour (km/h) in the 80 km/h zone.

A traffic stop was conducted, and as a result of the police investigation, a 23-year-old male from Middlesex Centre, has been charged with race a motor vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

The vehicle was seized for 7 days, and his driver’s licence was suspended for 7 days.

The driver will appear in provincial court on August 21, 2017 to answer to the charge.
