(Hawkesbury, ON) On October 13, 2013 members of the Hawkesbury OPP Detachment responded to an armed robbery which occurred shortly after 5pm, at the Fit Life Gym located on County Road 17 in Hawkesbury, ON.
Two men, with faces covered, had brandished a weapon to a gym employee, stealing an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. The suspects then fled to the rear of the building on foot. No one was injured.
The OPP Canine Unit assisted in the investigation where the track suggested the thieves had left in a vehicle that was parked behind the gym.
The suspects were described as:
Male 1:
18-30 years old
Approx. 5’8
Black shoes
Blue jeans
Black hooded sweatshirt
English speaking
Male 2:
18-30 years old
Approx. 6’0″
Grey/Black jeans
Beige boots
Blue hooded sweatshirt
