(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) -On November 5, 2013 an OPP officer was patrolling on Highway 35 in the former Manvers Township and observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner.
The officer subsequently conducted a vehicle stop and determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol. Open alcohol was also located in the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation John WARD, 31 years of age, of Manvers Township, was arrested and charged with impaired driving and driving while having more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood contrary to the Criminal Code. Mr. WARD was also charged with the Liquor Licence Act (LLA) offence of having open liquor in the vehicle.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on November 28, 2013.
