(Champlain, ON) On November 14th, 2013, in the Municipality of Champlain, while on patrol shortly before 8 pm on County Road #4, OPP Constable Jonathan Bouchard observed a grey 2002 Honda Civic traveling at 142 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The vehicle was intercepted.
The driver, Karl LAMPRON (18 yrs) of Hawkesbury, was charged with section 172 of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act for Race a motor vehicle.
The vehicle was seized and impounded for 7 days.
The drivers’ licence was also seized and suspended for 7 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the L’Orignal Court on December 5th.
