The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for impaired driving last night in Tilbury.
Just before 9:00 p.m. police received information of a possible impaired driver at the intersection of Stewart Street and Ella Street. Officers located a man sitting in his vehicle, stopped at a stop sign. Through investigation, the officer believed that the driver was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. The driver was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
Zachary Wassing, 25 years, of Light Cove Avenue in Lighthouse Cove has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He has been released pending a future court date.
