(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On the 21ST of November 2013, Highway Safety Division (HSD) officers from the Napanee detachment set up a roadside commercial truck inspection station on Creelman Ave in Trenton.
Four trucks received full safety inspections. Two of the trucks were removed from the road and issued provincial offence notices for having numerous safety violations. Violations included problems with the braking systems, front and rear axle issues, multiple air supply and exhaust issues.
One of the trucks stopped received a provincial offence notice for having the load exceeding height restrictions while traveling on a roadway.
The Highway Safety Division of the OPP will continue to conduct spot inspections throughout the City of Quinte West in the coming weeks to ensure safety and compliance on our roadways.
