(LEAMINGTON, ON) -Members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to Leamington Ontario on Thursday, November 21, 2013 regarding a collision involving an OPP cruiser and a civilian vehicle.
Investigation revealed that at 11:54 a.m., the officer was traveling southbound on Erie Street South in Leamington when she struck the rear of a vehicle stopped in front. Though ambulance responded to the call, no injuries were reported.
Provincial Constable Amanda ALLEN, a 24 year member attached to the Essex County OPP detachment, was subsequently issued a Provincial Offence Notice for “Following Too Closely†contrary to Section 158 of the Highway Traffic Act.
