(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a total of 9 collisions over the weekend. All were vehicle collisions that were attributed to road and weather conditions and thankfully none resulted in injuries.
The OPP reminds motorists that road and weather conditions in the winter should dictate your driving behaviour more than a hurried personal agenda. During episodes of extreme winter weather, drivers should consider postponing or delaying their road trip until road and weather conditions improve. Preparing yourself and your vehicle for the winter weather ahead can go a long way in reducing collisions – something the OPP sees far too many of every winter.
