Barrie Police working in the downtown area came across a drunken male at the corner of Dunlop and Owen after 9pm tonight. He was yelling and arguing with police, clearly not behaving in a rational manner. Police arrested the 25 year old local man for being intoxicated. He wasn’t able to answer simple questions and was being arguementative and uncooperative with the police officer. He was taken into custody for his own safety and will be released once he is in a sober state. The young man will be required to pay a Provincial offences fine. No one was injured during ths incident.
