(OTTAWA, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit and the Ottawa Police Service have arrested and charged an Ottawa man following an Internet child luring investigation.
Police began their investigation after receiving a report that an unknown person was engaging young people online in sexually explicit conversations. On Thursday November 28, 2013, police executed a search warrant at an Ottawa residence and seized one computer and related computer equipment.
OPP has arrested Stephane David LONGPRE, 31 years-old of Ottawa, Ontario. He is charged with one count of Internet Child Luring.
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa, Ontario on December 18, 2013.
The investigation is continuing.
