(ADELAIDE-METCALFE, ON)- On Wednesday December 4, 2013 at 9:35 a.m. a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a Dodge Ram pickup truck travelling at 60 km/h over the posted speed limit on Egremont Drive at Centre Road, Adelaide-Metcalfe.
As a result of an investigation police have charged the driver Nicolas RODRIGUEZ VILLA, age 34 of London, ON under the Stunt Driving legislation. The driver was issued a Part III Summons and is scheduled to appear in a London Provincial Offence Court on Jan 13, 2014 to speak to the charges.
Police also seized the drivers licence at the scene and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days.
The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue, everyday to focus on the “big four†risk behaviours which include aggressive driving, distracted driving, impaired driving, and occupants not wearing safety restraints. These are the leading causes of injuries and deaths on Ontario roads. The OPP will continue to use both enforcement and education to help curb the rise of accidents and the unnecessary lose of life.
