(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A 44 year old will be making a trip to court following his arrest Saturday afternoon. Just after 5:30 p.m. on December 7, 2013 a Dodge Ram pickup entered a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint at Orchard Line and Black’s Point Road. Officers detected the driver had been drinking alcohol and made a demand to the driver that he complete a roadside screening test.
The driver failed the roadside test. He was arrested and transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath to an intoxilizer technician and both registered over the legal limit.
As a result, Timothy WILSON, 44, from Huron East has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on January 27, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
