Gregory MONTGOMERY – Drunk Driving, 164 in a 90

(HOWICK, ON) – An early morning traffic stop conducted by a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer put the brakes on a 33 year old male driver yesterday. At approximately 8:30 a.m. on December 8, 2013 a Ford Flex was observed travelling westbound on Amberley Road well over the 90 km/h speed limit. The driver’s speed was checked with a radar device and was locked at 164 km/h. The driver was stopped and spoken to about his excessive speed. While doing so it was noted the driver had been drinking alcohol

The driver failed a roadside screening test and was arrested. He was transported to detachment where he provided two samples of his breath. Both samples were above the legal limit.

As a result, Gregory MONTGOMERY, 33, from Kincardine, has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol, Race a Motor Vehicle and Fail to Surrender Insurance Card. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Wingham on February 20, 2014. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
