(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment charged an 18 year old, 17 year old and 16 year old male after checking a vehicle at a Davis Street West, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Saturday, December 7, 2013 at approximately 2:15 a.m., police were conducting a R.I.D.E program (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) in the area of Davis Street West and Norfolk Street North, when a vehicle was stopped and checked for driver sobriety.
Charged with the following offences is 18 year old Tyler Robert Edmond GIFFORD of Norfolk County, Ontario.
Novice Driver – Blood Alcohol Above Zero
Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
Driver fail to properly wear seat belt
A 17 year old male was charged with having liquor in open container in other than licence premises, residence or private place contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
A 16 year old male was charged with Possession of Marihuana and will appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
