(PLYMPTON-WYOMING, ON) Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged 33 year old Salvador RODRIGUEZ from Huron Park with change lane not in safety under the Highway Traffic Act after the Volvo transport truck and trailer he was driving rolled into the median.
At around 5:00 a.m. on December 9, 2013, Lambton OPP and a local volunteer fire department were called to a single vehicle collision on westbound Highway 402 just west of Oil Heritage Road. For reasons unknown at this time, a westbound tractor trailer lost control and rolled into the median. No injuries were reported.
The truck has been removed from the median and OPP has cleared the scene. There was an unknown quantity of diesel fuel spilled during the collision and clean-up crews are expected to return at a later time to resume clean- up of the fuel.
Motorists are asked to continue to drive with caution in the area and be prepared to slow down and change lanes to give the clean-up personnel room to work.
