(Ottawa, ON) -The Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is presently investigating a motor vehicle collision on Highway 416 southbound at Hunt Club Road.
At approximately 7:40 am, a collision occurred involving two motor vehicles. A northbound pickup truck crossed under Hunt Club Road and entered the southbound lanes. The truck and another vehicle collided in the southbound lanes.
The driver of the pickup truck, 66 year old Daniel POTVIN of Spencerville was killed as a result of the collision.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 37 year old female was transported to hospital and is in stable condition.
Highway 416 is now re-opened.
The collision in under investigation and the OPP is asking anyone who may have any information in relation to this collision to contact the detachment at 613-270-9171.
