Pervert Alert: Douglas BAUDER – Child Pornography

(BANCROFT, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit have charged a Faraday Township man following an on-line child pornography investigation.

In June 2012, investigators from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Ohio, U.S.A. were conducting an online undercover child pornography investigation. During their investigation, an unknown user, believed to be from Ontario was making available child pornography images on the internet. In September 2013, investigators from DHS in Wyoming, U.S.A. conducted a similar online undercover child pornography investigation. During their investigation, an unknown user believed to be from Ontario, was making available child pornography images on the internet. Both matters were forwarded to the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit for further investigation. As a result of the OPP investigation, one individual was identified to be responsible for both incidents.

On December 12, 2013 police from the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, OPP Technical Crime Unit and Bancroft OPP executed a criminal code search warrant at a Faraday Township residence. As a result of this investigation, one computer, seven external hard drives and other items pertinent to the investigation were seized which contained images of child sexual abuse. During the search, police also located and seized a quantity of marihuana.

Douglas BAUDER, age 51 years, of Faraday Township Ontario is charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Accessing Child Pornography, one count of Production of a Controlled Substance and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to attend a Bail Hearing today, December 12, 2013 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville, Ontario.

The investigation is continuing.
