Neil LEVESQUE – Drunk Driving

(CHAPLEAU, ON) – On December 9, 2013 just after 8:00 am officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Chapleau Detachment observed a Chevrolet Impala travelling at a low rate of speed on Highway 129 in Chapleau Township. The vehicle was straddling the centre line and at times was travelling north bound in the south bound lane.

OPP stopped the vehicle and based on a number of investigative observations the driver was arrested. The driver was taken to Chapleau OPP Detachment for the purpose of completing Intoxylizer tests. A small amount of suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle.

As a result of the investigative steps taken by the OPP, Neil LEVESQUE, 28, of Petrolia, Ontario, has been charged with;

– Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle
– Possession of a Controlled Substance
– Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor
– Fail to Surrender Permit
– Fail to Surrender Insurance Card

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in Chapleau Criminal Court sometime on February 19, 2014.
