(QUINTE WEST, ON) – Officers from the Quinte West detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a number of RIDE checks during this past weekend.
Approximately 600 vehicles were checked resulting in two roadside breath checks being conducted. One driver received a three day licence suspension.
Four seatbelt infractions were handed out along with one driver receiving a ticket for driving with a suspended driver’s license. Also 12 drivers received warnings for various Highway Traffic Act offences.
The Ontario Provincial Police festive RIDE campaign will be running in full force thru the month of January 2014. Please ensure if you drink you don’t drive.
