(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate a series of break and enters that occurred in the Omemee area this past week.
On Sunday, January 5, 2014 an officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP was on patrol in the Omemee area when the officer noted fresh foot prints in the snow along the railway track. The officer followed the fresh tracks until he located a male party on Walnut Street.
Investigation resulted in the male, Kyle DANILKO, 27 years of age, of Lindsay, being arrested and charged with the following offences:
18 counts of Trespass at Night, contrary to the Criminal Code
3 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation, contrary to the Criminal Code
2 counts of Possession of Break in Instruments, contrary to the Criminal Code
The accused was held for a bail hearing today in Lindsay.
At the time of his arrest the accused was in possession of numerous items taken from local vehicles, including a camera. Anyone missing this item should contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP detachment at 705-324-6741.
