(Otonabee South Monaghan Township, ON) – On Tuesday December 31, at approximately 2:07 p.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP. investigated a two motor vehicle collision that had occurred on Keene Road near Base Line Road.
The collision involved a Kia Rio and a Chevrolet Expedition. Both vehicles had been traveling on the same roadway when the Kia crossed over the roadway in front of the oncoming Chevrolet truck and was two vehicles collided.
As a result of the collision the 61 year old male driver of the Chevrolet Peterborough transported to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment of his injuries. The 19 year old female driver of the Kia was transported by air ambulance to St. Michaels Hospital in Toronto for treatment of her injuries .A 23 year old female passenger from the Kia was transported to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment of her injuries.
All parties received non-life threatening injuries; however the 23 year old passenger received injuries to her leg, pelvis and ribs as a result of the collision.
As a result of the investigation 19 year old Miranda BURDENEY of Campbellford has been charged under the with Careless Driving under The Highway Traffic Act
