Doug JOHNSON – Drunk Driving

(Oro-Medonte, ON) – On Tuesday January 7th, 2014 at 8:19pm a resident contacted the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) after they noticed a cube van parked in their driveway on Line 2 south in Oro-Medonte Twp.

Further information was received that the driver was possibly impaired. Officers from the Barrie Detachment attended the scene and an investigation was conducted when an odour of alcohol was detected on the driver’s breath.

59-year old Doug JOHNSON of Oro-Medonte Twp was charged with Care or Control While Impaired and Care or Control Over 80 mgs, under the Criminal Code of Canada. His licence was suspended for a period of 90 days under the Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) program and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused will be making his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on February 3, 2014.
