MARIHUANA SEIZED FROM VEHICLE

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in a small quantity of marihuana being seized.

On January 16, 2014 an OPP officer from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on Fenel Road near Palestine Road, within the City of Kawartha Lakes. The officer subsequently stopped the vehicle.

During the investigation the officer determined that there was marihuana present. As a result of the investigation the driver and passenger have been charged.

Charged with possession of marihuana, under 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) are John Donnelly, 25 years of age and Rory Donnelly, 29 years of age, both of Cardiff Township.

The accused will both appear in court, in Lindsay, on March 6, 2014.
