TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN TRAFFICKING CHARGE

(Selwyn Township, ON) – On Saturday January 18, at approximately 8:27 p.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP were conducting radar patrols on Old Burleigh Road when they investigated a motorist traveling at a high rate of speed.

OPP officers stopped a Honda Accord travelling at a high rate of speed on Old Burleigh Road. At this time the driver was investigated for a highway traffic offence. During the initial investigation it was revealed that the driver was in possession of Marijuana.

As a result of the investigation 19 year old Taejel COLLINGS of North Kawartha has been charged with Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking.

COLLINGS is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial courts on February 20, 2014 to answer to the charge.
