(Hwy# 62, Belleville) – On January 18, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway # 62 at Old Madoc Road in Belleville after it slid in a snowbank and rolled into the ditch. Although no injuries were reported the vehicle was significantly damaged. The 31 year old female driver of Madoc, ON was charged with Improper Left Turn under the Highway Traffic Act.
While investigating that collision the officer observed a passing motorist with an insecure all-terrain vehicle loaded on a trailer. A tie strap was broken and the ATV was almost off the rear of the trailer. As a result the 37 year old male driver of Belleville, ON was charged with Insecure Load under the Highway Traffic Act.
