Antoine PELLERIN – Trafficking

On the 19th of February 2014, at approximately 3 am, the same officers intercepted a grey 2003 Chrysler Sebring while doing a RIDE checkpoint on the Long Sault Bridge, in the Town of Hawkesbury.

During the execution of the traffic stop, the driver was found in possession of illicit drugs. More than $1, 900.00 (street value) of various street drugs including Cannabis marijuana, Ecstasy, Cocaine and Speed were found and seized from the driver and the vehicle.
Further search of the vehicle revealed the presence of an expandable baton which is classified as a prohibited weapon.

The driver, Antoine PELLERIN (23 yrs) of Sorel-Tracy was arrested and charged under the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act :

-Section 5(2) Possession for the Purpose Schedule II under 3 kg -Cannabis Marijuana.

-Section 5(2) Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs (2 counts)

-Section 4(1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine

-Section 4(1) Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis resin – over 1gram

He was also charged under the Criminal Code of Canada for section 91(2) Unauthorized Possession of Weapon.

He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court on February 5th in L’Orignal.
