(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at approximately 10:00 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision involving a snowmobile on Superior Street in the Municipality of Meaford.
The snowmobile, a 2006 Yamaha, was travelling southbound on the OFSC trail, east of Concession 11, when it entered Superior Street and collided with the front end of an eastbound 2008 Ford SUV. No injuries were reported.
The operator of the snowmobile, William TURNER, 46, of Georgian Bluffs, was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Cross Highway Improperly under the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act (MSVA).
The OPP is committed to public safety through the reduction of preventable injury and death by promoting safe, responsible riding.
