COUNTY OF BRANT OPP OFFICERS CONDUCT SNOWMOBILE PATROLS

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers were conducting snowmobile patrols in the County of Brant.

Officers patrolled local trails from Friday February 7th, 2014 to Sunday February 9th, 2014. Officers checked 125 snowmobilers and issued two Provincial Offences Notices. Officers patrolled for approximately 900 kilometers over the three days.

Officers were impressed with the overall reception from the snowmobile riders.

“I am most pleased with the patrol initiative that Brant County Detachment members participated in this past weekend, and from the positive comments received from local enthusiasts and snowmobile club executives”, indicated Inspector Dave Durant, Brant County Detachment Commander. “Our visibility was certainly noticed and appreciated. We are pleased to work with our local snowmobile clubs to maintain good sportsmanship and responsible operation on our trails and we look forward to continued patrols in Brant County.”
