Occurrence #: BA14-007862
Date: Monday, February 17, 2014 – 12:15am
On the 17th of February 2014 at approximately 12:15am, Barrie Police responded to a call of a concerned citizen who reported a vehicle on Dunlop Street which was being operated in a fashion described as all over the road.”
Police located the vehicle parked outside of a business in the area of Fred Grant Square. A male was observed occupying the driver seat of the vehicle. Police approached the vehicle and had conversation with the male who indicated that he had been drinking but was just on the line of operating a vehicle under the legal limit. The investigating officer disagreed with the male driver and arrested him for impaired care and control.
The male was transported back to the station where he provided a sample of his breath. The male driver was slightly off in his prediction of ‘just on the line!’ He was actually three times the magical line of the legal limit.
The 30 year old male is now facing the loss of his licence for a year
