(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On February 15, 2014, just before 2:30 a.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program at Highway 40 and Colborne Street, when a Jeep vehicle entered and stopped for the officers.
Officers spoke with the occupants of the vehicle and determined that the male driver, 18 year old Jesse DERIDDER, from Highgate, ON, was impaired by drug.
The driver has been charged with Driving While Ability Impaired and is scheduled to appear in a Chatham court on March 14, 2014, to answer to the charge.
