On the 17th of February 2014 at approximately 7:30 PM, police were contacted to attend 201 Georgian Drive – Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre as a patient was being belligerent and verbally aggressive with the medical staff within the emergency department.
When police arrived they observed the male to be heavily intoxicated by alcohol. The male showed an inability to care for himself, and couldn’t provide or identify his address where he lived. As a result, police arrested the male for being intoxicated.
The male was held for the evening, and later released the next morning upon him sobering up.
On Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at approximately 10:10 AM shortly after the male’s release he quickly ingested copious amounts of alcohol, and immediately started causing problems in the downtown core near the Daivd Busby Centre.
Police attended and found the same male re-intoxicated for a second time. For his safety, he was subsequently arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.
The 50 year old male was held in police custody until sober.
