(Bancroft, Ontario) – On Friday the 21st of February 2014, Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to a residence in Faraday Township. The initial call was for police assistance, but investigation revealed that an adult female had been physically assaulted by and adult male at the residence.
A 21 year old male of Faraday Township was arrested and has been charged with assault. He was released from custody on a promise to appear with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 11th of March 2014.
This is a domestic investigation so the name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
