JEWELLERY THEFTS

(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Kenora OPP Street Crime Unit are investigating a series of jewellery thefts from two local businesses in the last few days.

On Thursday February 20 2014, a male suspect entered a local business and began looking at jewellery, when the attendant was distracted; he stole two bracelets valued at approximately $3500.

On Saturday February 22 and Monday February 24 suspect(s) entered another business and again while the attendant was distracted, stole three rings valued at nearly $9500.

The suspect(s) are described as First Nations males, in their early twenties, one with very short brush cut style hair and one with short hair.

The investigation is continuing.
