(Bancroft, Ontario) – In the early morning of Sunday the 02nd of March 2014, Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a residence in the Municipality if Highland East for a domestic dispute. Investigation into the incident revealed that a physical altercation had occurred at the residence and police arrested two persons.
A 39 year old male of the Municipality of Highlands East was arrested and has been charged with assault. He was released from custody on a Promise to Appear with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on the 11th of March 2014.
A 33 year old female of the Municipality of Highlands East was arrested and has been charged with assault. She was released from custody on a Promise to Appear with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on the 11th of March 2014.
The incident is a domestic investigation and the names of the charged persons are not being released.
