(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to an incident at a Peel Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Saturday, March 1, 2014 at approximately 1:11 a.m., an officer was conducting foot patrols in the area of Kent Street South when the officer was approached by a concerned citizen and informed about a female that had walked to the area of Peel Street.
The female was located by the officer and while speaking to the female an unknown male became involved in a physical confrontation with police resulting in minor injuries to the officer.
The female that was speaking to the police also became involved in a physical confrontation with responding officers. As a result, both were taken into custody without further incident. One officer attended a local area hospital and was treated and released for minor injuries.
Charged with the following offences is 38 year old Craig SZATROWSKI of Norfolk County, Ontario.

Resist Peace Officer
Obstruct Peace Officer
Charged with the following offence is 22 year old Jessica DREDGE of Peterborough, Ontario.
Assault Peace Officer
Resist Peace Officer
Obstruct Peace Officer
Possession of Marihuana
Being intoxicated in a public place
Both will appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
