(DRYDEN, ON.) -On March 8, 2014 at approximately 3:41pm The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Dryden detachment received a report of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) that had lost the two rear tires off the trailer, Highway 17, Eton Township. Officers patrolled and observed the CMV within the city of Dryden, the vehicle was observed to be missing the rear two tires from the car hauler trailer. As a result, the driver, Gerrit VEENSTRA (28yrs old) of Winnipeg Manitoba has been charged with operate unsafe Vehicle, Commercial Motor Vehicle contrary to section 84 of the Highway Traffic Act along with the company Daniel B Inc. of Winnipeg Manitoba has been charged with Wheel Separation contrary to section 84.1(1) of the Highway Traffic Act. Both have been issued a summons and are scheduled to appear in court in Dryden on May 6, 2014.
