(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On March 6th, 2014 at approximately 2:15 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report that a male with a 2 dogs had entered onto the property of Minesing Central Public School in the Village of Minesing and approached a few students during afternoon recess.
As a result of an extensive investigation by members of the Huronia West OPP the above male has been identified by Police and as a result no public safety issue exist at this time.
The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
The OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety, and that of children, at all times. Children should not be left unattended anywhere, for any length of time, when out in the public. The OPP’s website, www.opp.ca contains a number of useful resources, tips and links.
