STOLEN BACK HOE RECOVERED – MALE CHARGED

(Prince Edward County, ON) In recent days, Detectives with Prince Edward OPP Crime Unit received information about a possible stolen Caterpillar backhoe located on a Murphy Road property in the south end of the County. Detectives, accompanied by uniformed officers, located the backhoe and confirmed it was stolen from the Ottawa area.

On the 12th of March, the owner of the property and person in possession of the backhoe was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with Possession of Stolen Property and Tampering with a Vehicle Identification Number.

The 35 year old South Marysburgh resident will attend court on the 16th of April to answer to the charges.
