FRANKFORD MAN CHARGED UNDER HIGHWAY TRAFFIC ACT

(Quinte West, ON) – On Thursday March 13th, 2014, at around 11:30am Quinte West OPP charged a Frankford man with speeding and disobeying a stop sign. Police first spotted the speeding motorist on Johnstown Road in the City of Quinte West. The vehicle was travelling in excess of 30km over the posted speed limit. Police attempted to stop the vehicle on St. Hillaire Road and followed the fleeing suspect vehicle for approximately 3km. Police observed the vehicle drive through a stop sign on Lester Road. The suspect vehicle stopped for Police on Hamilton Road after fishtailing several times on the slush covered roads. The 32 year old Frankford man had two children in the vehicle with him at the time. The driver was cautioned regarding failing to stop for Police and issued two provincial offence charges for his driving.
