(ELGIN COUNTY, ON) – On March 12, 2014 at approximately 3:39 pm Elgin OPP Officers responded to a motor vehicle collision involving 2 cars and a mini-van at the intersection of Wellington Road and Talbot Line, in the Township of Southwold.
At the time of the collision a 2004 Grey Pontiac Vibe was westbound on Talbot Line entering into the intersection at Wellington Road. A 2004 Grey Dodge Caravan was traveling southbound on Wellington Road when the Caravan failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of Wellington Road and Talbot Line colliding with the Pontiac. The collision caused the Caravan to collide with a 2003 Red Chevrolet Zita that was traveling eastbound on Talbot Line.
Driver of the Pontiac Vibe, a 59 year old London man, was transported to hospital where he was treated and released with minor injuries.
Driver of the Chevrolet Zita, a 40 year old St.Thomas man, and passenger a 45 year old female of St.Thomas, were transported to hospital where they both were treated and released with minor injuries.
Driver of the Dodge Caravan, a 39 year old female from Southwold Township was transported to hospital where she was treated and released with minor injuries.
All vehicles sustained moderate damage and were removed by towing companies.
As a result of the investigation police have charged the 39 year old female from Southwold Township with Failing to Stop at a Red Light.
